From the Southside Of Williamsburg, Brooklyn N.Y. To The Lower east Side Of Manhattan To Puerto Rico, And All Over Tri- State Area Dj Pistol Pete Has Earned His respect as a living legend in Dj history . With his versatile unique skills Pistol has left crowds all over addicted to his Djing techniques. It all started in 1981 when Pistol brought his first record called Rappers Delight by the Sugar Hill Gang which at the time introduced a new sound to music history that caught peoples attention worldwide. Pistol had a 90 watt radio with a belt drive turntable with no pitch control at that time. By the age of ten Pistol editing and pausing his own mix tapes. At that point in time he started developing skills and pursued them .By the age of 16 he got his first pair of turntables with a mixer and a mic that his parents gave him for Christmas. Now he took his djing skills to the next level. By creating mic skills while scratching and mixing records at the same time Pistol knew now he was ready to take on a crowd. He created a buzz on the streets with his mix tapes, and managed to get himself some private party’s which gave him a great reputation. Now Pistol was neighborhood Dj Icon who was known to be a crowd exciter everywhere. He was playing at a private event when he got offered a night gig at a local night club. He drew crowds from all neighborhoods just to hear him rip it up on Friday’s and Saturday’s nights. Being influenced and working with Dj’s like Kid Capri, Red Alert, Funk Master Flex, Grand Master Flash , Jam Master Jay, Little Louie Vega , Todd Terry, and Roman Ricardo, has made Dj Pistol Pete focus on the bigger picture. By now he begins to Dj in more popular night clubs, like 20 West, Club Vertigo, Esso’s , Club Hollywood, Super Club, Latin Quarters, Club Ohm, Club Pearl, Foxes, Drama, The Arena, Casino, Club Bliss, Mk’s, Firestone, La Villas, etc. Dj Pistol Pete has even produced 7 remix records of his own that has sold out of every record store nation wide. Dj Pistol Pete has also broadcast live on hot 97 from night clubs all over, and hosted by Angie Martinez & Big Dennis. Dj Pistol Pete most recent experience was Djing for Kanye West and the Rocafella Family at the mix show power summit held in Puerto Rico October 2003. Dj Pistol Pete has formed his own Dj crew called RBI Record Blasting Incorporated. The NYC Dj wrecking crew has been creeping on all Dj crews with there own style and they are taking over club Dj business in present time. Dj Pistol Pete has also been producing tracks under RBI for the past 8 years, he also has a strong production team, and a gang of lyricist to complete a full wrecking camp. Now Dj Pistol Pete is a member of the Bum squad Dj’s and the Beatenderz production team. The impact Dj Pistol Pete himself has had, and will always have is immeasurable. Not only has he catapulted the status of been a Dj to an actual profession, he has also left his mark on the music industry as one of the many Dj’s out of the hood to still hold on to his skills, and will continue to blast off any event now & forever. Pistol has far exceeded the expectations of his peers, critics, & fans. His love and careful nurturing of his immense talents have enabled him to represent the music industry in general, and Hip-Hop music particularly with class individuality and an intensity of the unmatched in the music profession. His diverse, steadfast, and flawless intuition about the dynamics of the music industry that often predicts it’s level of success on energetic terms. As of 2008, as Dj Pistol Pete enters his 20th anniversary he will retire the name Dj Pistol Pete and will a acquire the name “Dj Pistolero”.
